Zakaria’s Story | A Journey of Hope

Zakaria was born in Upper Egypt. From the start, his parents instilled in him the values of hard work, humility, and above all, the importance of education. His father, a middle school teacher, and his mother, a stay-at-home mom, worked tirelessly to give Zakaria and his younger brother the best education they could afford.
Zakaria excelled in school, consistently ranking at the top of his class. By the time he graduated from high school, his academic record was nothing short of remarkable.

He dreamed of becoming a doctor—not for prestige or status, but out of a deep desire to serve and heal. But with this dream came a heavy weight: the cost of medical school.
His father, though proud of Zakaria’s ambition, worried about how the family could bear such an expense. Just when it seemed that the dream might slip out of reach, a light broke through.
Care 4 Needy Copts (C4NC) launched a scholarship program, and Zakaria was among the first to be recommended for support.

With the scholarship, Zakaria began his journey at the Medical University. Through the years, his grades remained outstanding. In 2024, Zakaria graduated with pride and purpose. Soon after, he began his first job as a resident surgeon at El-Minya University Hospital. It was the beginning of a new chapter, not only for him, but for every life he would touch. Zakaria often reflects on the road that brought him here—with gratitude for his parents’ love and encouragement, and deep appreciation for C4NC and the generous hearts behind his scholarship. He never forgets that this journey was made possible by kindness and support.

Zakaria inspires his younger brother, reminding him that dreams are achievable. “Work hard,” he advises, “and let your purpose guide you.” We are excited to share that after completing his studies, Zakaria got married, and he welcomed a handsome baby into his life. As a father, husband, son, brother, surgeon, and dedicated servant, Zakaria stands as a shining example of what hard work, faith, and opportunity can achieve.

We are incredibly proud of Zakaria and all he has accomplished—and even more excited for all that lies ahead.
